Late flint period walnut half-stock with horn forend and checkered wrist; good color and patina; very old expert fill to shrinkage fissure running with grain-at trigger guard finial to swell at first pip[e. Lightly engraved breech, tang, lock and lockplate. Brass trigger guard with long finial and accord forend is engraved as are brass side and butt-plates. Barrel is a beautiful plumb-brown color; rammer with brass tip appears to be original; mechanically fine. One sideplate screw may be a period replacement with all else fine.
