Fully stocked in bold tiger maple with carved and incised recessed fluting ornamenting the stock; the stock features other decorative carving before and after the raised cheek piece. The cheek piece features an oval inlay with beautiful engraved eagle above shield; eight inlays with rocker engraved border ornament the stock; rocker engraved silver thumb piece is shield form. The octagonal to round .52 caliber barrel is mostly plum brown fading to smoky gray. Brass furniture including engraved side plate and four piece engraved patch box; butt plate, trigger guard, pipes, and nose cap also brass. The ash ram rod with brass finial retains is ferrule and may be original. (Overall L: 57.5"; barrel L: 42")
