Cherry Stocked Colonial Musket
Connecticut River Valley
Circa 1750-1760 - SOLD

The cherry stock with Roman nose has a rich dark patina and remains in very good condition with only minor restoration; a half-inch by eight-inch sliver restored at top of barrel channel between swell and second pipe along with a few other very minor "fills" that do not distract and are very old. The 44.5-inch barrel is .78-caliber and fitted with a front site a bayonet lug under the muzzle. The barrel is a nice even plum-brown color. Light pitting at breech and touch-hole area. All original brass furniture having good patina; original flint and original ramrod. Overall length is 60.5-inches. Included is a Hessian bayonet with scabbard.
