This simple tinder lighter is signed Riviere and has a pistol grip; pierced stand, signed RIVIERE / LONDON on the frame...possibly Isaac Riviere active in London circa 1808 -1851*. The cup shows wear along the edge, action is excellent. (5-inches long by 3 �-inches high.) *Stockel, page 1051.
