Elaborately Decorated Continental Hunting Sword

Continental hunting sword with elaborate raised and pierced hunting scene decoration on the pommel, ferrule and langet. The sword also has a lion's head finial and decorated guard. The grip is made of tortoise shell and mother of pearl. The slightly curved, steel blade is engraved. The leather scabbard with brass tip has spaces for, but is missing, the knife and fork. The blade is pitted and has some scattered rust, there are pieces of the tortoise shell missing, and the scabbard is missing the throat, all of which are noted for accuracy.
Dimensions: 25.5-inch overall length, 20-inch blade length.
