Cooper's Internal Hammer Percussion Pistol
A large bore British officer's pistol
With Cooper's Patent Rainproof Lock
Marked "JR Coopers Patent No 387" - SOLD


The internal hammer and percussion nipple is accessed via a sliding lid on top of the pistol; the cocking lever is external. The gun has a .64 caliber, 8-inch octagonal, smoothbore barrel and a saw handle style grip with a finely checkered wrist. The pistol has a captured rammer, a finely engraved German silver frame, a German silver trigger guard, and a replaced silver butt cap. Marked "JR Coopers Patent No 387", and marked "London" on the barrel. The gun measures 12.25-inches in overall length.
