The engraving is bordered and back-ground; about 300 were made before Smith & Wesson's lawsuit put the gun out of production. It is considered to be the first swing-out cylinder made. Fewer than half of those made were engraved. The gun measures 13-inches in overall length, and the barrel measures 6.5-inches in length.
