Manhattan Pocket Revolver
1st Model, 2nd Variation with Circular Brass Frame Plate - SOLD

Serial number 7005, the gun retains little finish but has a beautifully engraved barrel and attractive rosewood grips. A patent infringement of the Smith & Wesson First Model, First & Second Issue, the company apparently had no fear of legal action from Smith & Wesson because the guns were openly marketed and completely marked. Manufactured around 1860, production was halted in the 1870s when S&W sued.
