E. A. Prescott “Navy” Revolver
Circa 1861 – 1863

Iron frame, serial number 396, .38 caliber rimfire. Cylinder notched in rear. Marked "E. A. PRESCOTT. WORCESTER. MASS / PAT’D. OCT. 2. 1860" on top of 5 ¼-inch octagonal barrel. Cylinder has number 170 on the rear surface but the number on the front matches. Condition: 35% original bright blue on the barrel thinning and turning, and traces on the cylinder turning brown. The frame has traces of bright blue in protected areas, otherwise flaked brown. Bore is excellent. Grips are numbered to the gun and are in nice condition. Left grip has a small chip at the toe. There are a couple of dents out of the bottom right grip. Cylinder pin number matches. Mechanically fine.
