A Vintage Unmarked Finely Carved Double Barrel Side by Side Flintlock Shotgun Chiseled Steel, Nickel and German Silver, Ebonized German Silver Liege Mark Under Barrel,
(bane d' epreuves des armes feu de liege) Overall Length: 51.25”, .16-Caliber Barrel: 16 3/8”


The stock is carved and punch-decorated, the butt is decorated with a carved beast inlayed with glass taxidermist eyes…scrolled acanthus compositions center checking inlayed with silver tacks. The lock plates, cocks and frizzen’ are chisel engraved; entry pipe, barrel key escutcheon, and trigger guard are ornamented with relief displays including panoplies of arms, knight in armor; halberd gathered by crown etc. The breech-end barrel is chiseled…displaying a pair of masks and more. Bead front site, rear site is notched within engraved tang. There are choke marks, initials etc. under barrel. The barrel rib is marked “Made in Belgium”.
