Mid-18th Century Gentleman’s Flintlock Pistol, Carved Stock, Silver Mounted
Lock signed: P.PE Bouillet, A Mountlucon, (France)

Relief carved walnut stock, Original flint is tight and smooth, all metal in bright finish. The 5.575” octagonal to round barrel retains traces of engraving and is .57/58-caliber; brass blade front sight. Breech tang is engraved; trigger guard features long tangs as does buttcap. Overall length: 11”. Generally, very good condition, metals parts cleaned; tiny area of dill adjacent to buttcap; tight fissures, each side of forend…cause by barrel pins and shrinkage. Pistol is quite attractive.
