French Dueling Percussion Pistol by Aury, St. Etienne, One of a Numbered Set .67-Caliber Smoothbore Octagonal Barrel: 8.5”, Overall: 14.25”

French Dueling Percussion Pistol, right facing

The pistol bears the makers name and St. Etienne on engraved lockplate and the numeral “1” on top of breech; Damascus steel barrel, steel mountings with light engraving; select grain walnut half stock featuring fine checkered grip and carved oval butt-molding. The overall condition is very good including the smooth action; pewter-gray with some brown mottling. Stockel lists Aury as active circa 1850.
