Full stock with good color and patina, checkered wrist and carved (raised) cheek-piece; fore-stock is ornamented with eight eagle inlays and eight fancy scrolled barrel key escutcheons; all in German silver. The nose-cap is German silver as are two pierced eagles found under the cheek-piece; also decorated with an inlay aft of long engraved steel breech tang, and a lovely long comb-plate pieced with heart. Fancy engraved lockplate (single screw with silver escutcheon), hammer (dolphin), breech, and snail drum; brass furniture includes pipes, scrolled trigger guard (double-set trigger), buttplate, and pierced rub-plate. The plumb-brown .40-caliber (rifled) octagonal barrel is 45-inches long; overall length is 61.25-inches. Good looking rifle with tight action.
