Outstanding corrugation, wonderfully subtle carving, superb color and patina
A fine example of spurred war club carved from a single piece of dense wood (probably ironwood); phallic butt end continuing (lakena) to curve featuring a well carved and prominent meto (spur); the underside (uluna) with its prominent grain is wonderful; classic carved ridges at spur and head. Excellent condition with only the loss of a very small piece of wood at end of shaft as depicted.
