American Horseman Saber, Revolutionary War Period, entire view 1

The ribbed wooden grip is wrapped with brass wire; ball shape pommel; knuckle bow with single branch flares to form counterguard with four piercing, two of them heart shaped. The flat curving blade with three parallel fullers is a mottled plumb-brown and black, and has a few shallow nicks. Thee scabbard did not survive, however, the middle-band and throat with frog stud and carrying rigs accompany the Saber. (Dimensions: 39.25" overall; 32.75" blade)
