Measurement: Length: 14"; Length: 11.5"

Material: Iron, turned wood handles with brass ferrules

Condition: Very good, commensurate with age and use

Additional Information: Scarce pair of multi-cavity bullet molds by N. S. Brockway
of Bellows Falls, Vermont. Both molds have four cavities and rotary sprue cutters. The
.38 caliber mold displays a poor stamping of “N. S. Brockway” nonetheless identifies the
maker. The .31 caliber mold is identical in manufacture, so we know it is also a
Brockway. Norman Swain Brockway (1841-1936) is well-known as the maker of
beautiful percussion target rifles. See Vermont’s Gunsmiths & Gunmakers to 1900 by
Phillips & Tyler pages 42-46. (Page 43 has a photograph of a 4-cavity mold.)

$1,250.00 the pair
