Alarm Gun, Ferris’ Patent Burglar Alarm And Lock, Original Box & Instructions

Measurement: .22-caliber; Box: .5" x 1.75" x 4"
Material: All iron, beautiful mint nickel finish
Additional Information: RARE blank firing alarm gun
Fabricated with a mounting screw, fixed firing pin and a spring loaded arm having a
chamber for a blank cartridge; when cocked, the arm rests on its flat end on the spring,
until a nudge (from the door or window the alarm is mounted next to) causes the arm to
slam the cartridge on the pin. Left side of frame is marked: "FERRIS/ PAT. DEC. 28.86".
Grasping the arm is facilitated by a pair of demilune cuts machined therein. The alarm
mounts to window or door frame via a .75-inch woodscrew. The gun is complete with
original operating instructions and the original unmarked cardboard box.
