Material: Figured maple grips

Condition: Excellent, Barrel: 98% smooth brown, brass backstrap and trigger plate in
dark patina; bore shows rust.

Additional Information: Beautiful carved figured maple grips, serial number
XIIII; octagonal-to-round barrel. Marked on the trigger guard plate M. Carleton Co
Patent.
Straight pull percussion system…hammer cocks horizontally by pulling
backwards towards trigger; the entire trigger guard is the mainspring. Michael Carleton,
patent date: December 22, 1830.
