Measurement: Overall length: 4.75"; barrel length: 2.25"
Condition: Very good, barrel is 40% brown fading to gun metal gray; breech, hammer,
tang and, lockplate display a dark even patina.
Additional Information: Brass front and notch rear sights, with zig-zag engraving
centering the "P" on the left side of the breech, "DERINGER PHILADELA" on barrel flat
at breech. Repeated on the lock, with leafy scroll engraving is the same Deringer mark
found on breech; tang and tang screw engraved as is the hammer; German silver
accent pates, escutcheons, teardrop buttplate having zigzag engraving; silver mounted
tip. The German silver trigger guard is leafy/scroll engraved and features a pineapple
finial and long tang. The grip is inlayed with leafy/scroll engraved vacant silver shield
shape thumb-piece. The finely checkered walnut stock remains in original oiled walnut
finish, displays a nice patina.
