This is one of the very last of the Model 1816's manufactured.
The lock plate is marked "S. North above eagle centered by US" above MIDLN-Conn.; the breech is stamped "P/US" and SNY. Front site and flash pan are brass; the stock displays a cartouche on the left flat; complete with appropriate swelled tip wood ramrod. Iron is mottled dark brown fading to gray; barrel band and muzzle display overall pitting stock retains original finish and has developed a rich patina. Mechanically tight; stock has a few dings.
Dimensions: 15.5" overall L, 9.25" barrel L.
