The brass barrel with iron breech displays proofs and other marks; barrel boldly marked LONDON; round
to cannon muzzle with raised moldings; lock is engraved and signed SMITH under the pan. All brass
furniture; rectangular thumbpiece with cut corners; buttplate and trigger guard with long tang and
acorn finial are engraved as is the rear entry pipe; lockplate screws are engraved and set within brass
escutcheons; button ramrod. Full walnut stock with well-defined comb…dark oiled finish. The pinned
barrel has been cleaned and is free of defect; good bore; a one-inch tight fissure at forend will be easily amended.
