Wonderful form displaying two-to-one proportions, desirable original natural surface, and featuring unique hand wrought iron hardware. The lift top with applied moldings above a deep chest above two working drawers; the whole on molded base raised on exceptionally tall [cyma recta profile] feet, each with small cusp. Drawer secondary wood beautifully molded; large early type dovetail joinery.

Measurement: Height: 46"; width: 34.5"; depth: 17.25"

Material: Northeastern white pine, wrought iron hardware

Condition: Very good, The drawers were originally designed without pulls. Tiny piercings that do not entirely penetrate drawer fronts suggest that small brass pulls were likely added before the wonderful current blacksmith-made hardware probably dating to circa 1800. Top lip of bottom drawer displays losses.
