This extremely fine, American, gilded over-mantle mirror is elaborately decorated throughout. The blocked, entablature is decorated with acorn-shaped drops above a superb, crosshatched frieze, supported by four turned columns featuring Corinthian capitals. The high quality of this mirror is noteworthy. The condition is excellent, with minor expected repairs to the gilding and decoration. The gilding is in excellent condition.
