Additional Information: Outstanding original condition, bright blue…great wood.
Octagon to round barrels ares marked "CAST STEEL / PATENT" and "98", the tapered
top strap with canted side conforming to octagonal barrel is marked "CASE WILLARD &
CO / NEW HARTFORD CONN" one flat displays an undulating vine centering makers
mark. The other pistol shows an engraved acorn surrounded by stars on the forend with
an arrow aft. There is a small accumulation of dirt within the bore otherwise sharp and
bright.

Gun 1: that with acorn ornament is marked “92” on the frame and grip; barrel flat
marked “98”, must remove screw to slide grip off for viewing. German silver bound; tiny
chip out of bottom of right side of grip…now filled; displays well. The barrel displays
95% brilliant blue, frame 60%.

Gun 2: that engraved with undulating leafy vine is marked “97” on frame and grip; barrel
flat also marked 98, must remove screw to slide grip off for viewing. Same wood and
binding as Gun 1. Barrel 97% bright blue, frame 30%.
