A good box displaying traces of thin red paint in a rich dry patina; lid remains on snipe hinges, retains original wire lock. The owner’s name is carved on the underside of lid. Locke was located at 241 Water Street from 1835 to 1841: then at 241 Water Street from 1842 to 1860.
