Pistol, Completely Handmade Unsigned American Percussion Plains Pistol

The 8 7/8″ octagonal rifled barrel is .54 – .58-caliber and is drilled off-center. All iron furniture except small pointed brass lock screw escutcheon. The walnut stock has a flat butt. The gun is almost 14″ overall length and has two iron pipes. Originally a flintlock, now converted to percussion. Snail is very unusual – almost a vertical fluted drum. Gun shows lots of wear and scattered pitting.
