American, Odd Fellows Cornucopia created for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) during the late 19th century. These carved polychrome-painted cornucopias or “horn of plenty” were filled with fruits and vegetables symbolizing the groups’ core beliefs of friendship, love, and truth. The cornucopia itself has long been a symbol of abundance, representing the charitable benefits and support offered by the fraternal order.

Material: Carved wood, polychrome paint, and varnish

Item Condition: Fine Untouched original condition, retaining original oxidized varnish finish over original paint.
