Antique Percussion Pistol, Scroll Engraved, Bright Blue, Unknown Maker, Likely a Great New England Maker, circa 1850

The frame, backstrap, trigger guard, and half the octagonal barrel are acanthus scroll engraved as is the hammer. Cheek side displays a stag. Dovetailed wedge front sight; “V” notch rear sight; rear entry pipe neatly dovetail joined to breech. Original rammer
with brass forend. Very nice figured walnut grips with robust color; impressed with collector’s number 2688.
