A Large Brass Tobacco Box, Dutch

Engraved in Old Dutch “I plough the land, I harrow the land and I don’t ask for wisdom.”
Loosely translated to mean that it was more important that you knew how to live from the land than to be educated; intended as a swipe to educated people of that time (According to a friend in Amsterdam).
