The projecting lid with applied molding is over a conforming case containing a trill; the case is on a molded base raised on ogee feet joining a swagged apron.

Item Condition: : Very good considering age and use. The oxidized shellac/varnish over green/blue paint has oxidized, therefore the dark color. A shrinkage crack at one hinge piercing and to an applied lid molding long ago received a few small nails ensuring the integrity was without compromise. The wire snipe hinges were partially compromised and subsequently repaired. The box displays well.
