The obverse of the host coin is engraved with a scalloped border surrounding the following: W.B. MORAN / (STAR) / D.W. R.R. The reverse has had a pinback removed, as this would have been worn like a badge. Moran was either a lineman or possibly a conductor for the railroad. The D.W. R.R. may represent the Detroit-Waukesha Rail Road [railroad].
