Crisp inspectors' marks: "AWM" on left side of stock for Allen Wait Mather. John Taylor's final acceptance cartouche is found in the same area. It appears that the illegible mark on top of stock ahead of buttplate is Mather's. Standard two-leaf rear site; bayonet lug/blade front site.
