A bucolic view of a large center chimney homestead that stands on Silver Street. The immediate property is neatly fenced... the farmer drives cattle down the lane leading to barns. In the distance, at left is seen a locomotive pulling cars, this is the Hartford and New Haven Railroad [1838-1872].

Our Consignor purchased the contents of this home in the early nineteen-eighties.

Date: Likely 1850 to 1870

Measurement: Frame: 12" x 10"; view: 9.75" x 7.75"

Material: Oil on canvas mounted within an attractive later frame.
