Chippendale Slant Lid Desk, Shell Carved Prospect Door, Rhode Island Circa 1770

Original brass hardware, excellent condition The fall front slant lid opens to an interior featuring central shell-carved prospect door flanked by four valanced pigeonholes above two rows of drawers. The case containing four graduated thumbmolded drawers is raised on ogee feet.
