Antique Nantucket Basket, Round, Swing Handle, Turned base

This example, a shallow tightly woven round basket with carved swing handle pinned to hand cut brass ears, turned base with molded base edge, the interior with incised concentric rings.

Date: Early 20th Century

Measurement: Height: 5"; height at handle: 10.75"; diameter: 11.5"

Material: Turned wood base, oak staves, handle and rim, woven with cane

Condition: Very good original condition with two trivial breaks near base that don't distract; approximately 1 3/8" of rim wrap is missing. Displays well.
