A New England chest in fantastic surface... the rectangular lid with integral molded edge retains original carved cleats and original cotter pin hinges; a conforming case with applied half round moldings featuring a pair of faux drawers over two functional drawers; the whole raised on molded base frame resting on carved straight bandy legs with pad feet [back legs are square]. Robust surface with great depth of patina displays traces of original thinning gain painted surface.
