Puzzle Ball

Carved, Pierced, and Painted Architectural Whimsey Tower, Obelisk, Image 1

Elaborately carved, whimsy [or whimsey] likely a gift from a groom to his bride. Three tier graduated stepped base, steps with canted edges and brick foundation raised on cutout feet. Within the tiered steps is carved a concave stairway leading to door above which are four chip carved frontal sections; the sides display two sections. The arched window openings contain a large olive green painted ball; finials are gold. Underside of base scratch carved "H. Collins". A gem!
