Allen Dragoon Pepperbox, Third Type, Agent Marked: A.W. Spies

Late Grafton or Very Early Norwich, Number 16

First production... Grafton, Massachusetts made, a rarely encountered "dragoon" having "quick drop" grip with spangle. Engraved frame: bar hammer marked: A.W. SPIES [agent] over ALLEN'S PATENT. Integral fixed nipples, fluted ribs... one marked CAST STEEL.

Measurement: 6-inch .36-caliber barrel cluster

Material: Walnut grip, silver spangle

Condition: Metal in very fine condition. Strong amounts of faded original blue on barrels. Excellent markings and mechanics. One replaced part - the barrel screw.
This is a great looking example.
