This pair of fine quality pistols with patent breech and browned barrels features case colored breech tangs, lock plates and hammers. Both guns marked 1362 under barrels, on breech plugs, and on top of lock plates. Crown over CP and crown over V in cartouches; HM in rectangular cartouche under the barrels. No checkering, bag butts, no forend caps; correct ramrods and sliding safeties. Nicely engraved tangs and trigger guards, lock plates held with single screw and engraved only in outline. Lock plates were originally flintlock. Small repaired crack in front of lock plate on one gun.
Measurement: .50 caliber smoothbore, 4" octagonal to round barrels. Overall length: 8"
