Featuring large slip-trailed and highly detailed ornamentation... large pheasant with turned crested head, spotted body, elaborate tail featuring detailed feathers perched on a branch near shrub. Maker's mark lightly brushed in cobalt... slip-trailed capacity mark [8]. Although many birds by Burger exist, few of this size and decorative quality are known.

Condition: Hairline [Y-shaped] issuing from rim between capacity mark and lug handle, scattered unobtrusive flaking limited to one area at base under bird. No restoration.
