Yoke crest, vasiform splat, arms with scrolled handholds in a very early brown finish having a rich and warm patina. The rockers have been part of this chair since its early working life as evidenced by the large rosehead nails joining rockers to blocks. The rockers and attaching nails are in the exact surface as is the entire chair. eighteenth or very early nineteenth century brown over red.
