As depicted, a group of eight closely related chairs in great surface. Carved yoke crest above spooned vasiform splat above molded stay-rail.
Rear post/stiles are molded and taper to top-rail. The trapezoidal seats with corner-blocks above block and baluster turned front legs... raised on brush feet... the legs joined by turned stretchers; front and lower side being very robust. The rush seats are very old and functional. Seven chairs fitted with appropriately upholstered seat cushions. Each of the custom-made cushions has a hidden bottom board [within] designed to protect the integrity of the rush seats.

Measurement: Height: 41.25"; seat height: 17"; width: 19.25"; depth: 14"

Condition: Outstanding old black-painted/stained surfaces. Rush seats are older and serviceable. Very good condition, several seats with small losses, several frames slightly loose, light stains to cushions. All chairs are fine for everyday use.
