Ware, a young portrait painter displays his oeuvre... large fully open eyes, prominent ear, and eyebrows, heavy shading along the nose; a deep depression in the mid-line of upper lip. The artist's portraits, perhaps 40 works were produced in a 4 to 5-year period, most all subjects are painted against a dark background. Most of his subjects were from Pomfret, Woodstock, Barnard or Hartland, Vermont.
