A Very Rare Herculaneum, Creamware Pitcher Liverpool jug [or pitcher], England, early 19th century, black transfer printed creamware jug, one side with an oval reserve centered with a portrait medallion of "John Adams President of the United States," surrounded by symbolic figures of Plenty with a cornucopia of fruit, Justice with her scale and Cupid. SUCCESS to AMERICA within wreath above great seal beneath spout. The reverse displays Washington, Franklin, Liberty, and other figures. (Arman, p. 61 / A 4)
