Transfer signed "Kennedy" for James Kennedy, Burslem active c. 1790 - 1800. Beneath the spout is a transfer wreath of laurel and palm surround the hand painted name "Solomon Clarkson."
Shield form surmounted with compass and square; the obverse features keystone centered by Cornelius P. Vrooman - Middleburgh MM Lodge; rocker and border engraved. The reverse displays engraved script- HTWSSTKS (Hyram/Hiram Tyrian Widow's Son Sent To King Solomon) within engraved concentric rings; also, full-length figure of man with sickle. (2 by 3")
Inscribed with the name "JOHN . RICE . TURNER , / Barnstable / 1813" under the spout. Polychrome decoration, including roses around the rim. The bottom is inscribed "Restored December 1980 / James G. Hogris / Log #00001."
A nice green bottle, sand pontil, applied string lip, applied circular seal on shoulder reads Middle Temple around figure of lamb with a pennant, the symbol of the Honorable Society of the Middle Temple in London. Excellent condition. (Height: 10.5-inches.)
