Commemorative canary yellow creamware child’s cup with “La Fayette” and “Washington” jugate portraits in rare “red” transfer; Surmounting the jugate portraits is an eagle with a banner in its talons displaying: “LA FAYETTE” and “WASHINGTON” above the appropriate portrait.
The mug was produced to celebrate and commemorate the historic return visit and tour of America by the Marquis de Lafayette in 1824.
