Finely wrought rushlight holder with pivoting jaws, a serrated candle cup, and a three-legged base incorporating a serrated circular platform and matching serrated feet. The ironwork has been carefully forged and filed smooth, suggesting the work of a whitesmith rather than a general blacksmith. The refined finish, together with the distinctive serrated details, is characteristic of examples attributed to the Mid and North Wales region. The iron retains an untouched surface with naturally developed patina throughout.
