Tripod base rushlight holder with forged pivoting jaws, twisted stem, and twisted arm terminating in a rolled-seam candle socket. Supported on a tripod base with penny feet, the elevated position of the candle counterweight in relation to the stem is characteristic of examples attributed to Radnorshire, Wales. The tightly closed, overlapping seam of the candle socket, likely intended for a molded candle, is a construction feature more commonly encountered in other Welsh counties and comparatively uncommon on Radnorshire examples. The third leg is fire-welded, with the forge-weld seam and riveted attachment visible beneath the base. The ironwork retains an untouched surface with naturally developed patina.
