Turned burled fruitwood splint holder fitted with wrought iron jaws. The cylindrical body is turned with a pronounced domed shoulder and molded base.

Material: Turned burled fruitwood with wrought iron jaws.
Item Condition: Good condition with expected wear consistent with age and use. The turned treen body exhibits age-related shrinkage, historic insect damage, and drying cracks. The wrought iron jaws retain an untouched surface with expected oxidation. No apparent repairs.
