Spoon Rack, Elaborate Friesian Carving, Original Surface History

Wonderful early 19^th century Spanish brown over original green paint displaying a dry patina. A swirl carved pinwheel surmounting the backboard featuring four rows of two pinwheels each centering compass stars, chip and gouge carved devices. There are two tiers fitted for five spoons affixed to backboard with rosehead and “T” head nails.
